A Community Where Everyone Belongs.
The ÉLUE Foundation is an emerging community-centered nonprofit organization committed to strengthening historically underserved communities while welcoming individuals and families from all backgrounds.
Founded on the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and chosen, ÉLUE seeks to create meaningful connections, address barriers to stability, and expand access to opportunities that help individuals and families thrive.
Our work is being developed around four interconnected areas: community belonging and emotional well-being, food security and household stability, personal and professional development, and essential care and resource connections.
With a commitment to dignity, inclusion, and measurable community impact, we are building a foundation where compassion becomes action, relationships create belonging, and support opens doors to brighter futures.
At ÉLUE, being chosen means knowing that someone sees your worth and is willing to show up for you.
Born From the Belief That Everyone Deserves to Feel Chosen.
The ÉLUE Foundation began with a deeply personal understanding of what it means to search for belonging, find strength in unexpected relationships, and discover that family is not always defined by blood.
Our founder, Terrell Hill, recognized that some of life's most meaningful connections come from the people who choose to show up for us. Through personal experiences, he came to understand the importance of chosen family—the individuals who offer encouragement, acceptance, compassion, and support when they are needed most.
He also recognized that many people navigate life's challenges while longing for something beyond assistance: the reassurance that someone sees them, values them, and genuinely cares about their future.
That understanding became the foundation of ÉLUE.
Derived from the French word élue, meaning “chosen,” the name represents the belief that every person has inherent worth and deserves to experience dignity, belonging, and opportunity.
What began as a personal conviction is growing into a broader commitment to community. Through meaningful relationships, practical assistance, personal development, and connections to resources, The ÉLUE Foundation seeks to create opportunities for individuals and families to move forward with confidence and hope.
Our story is not simply about helping people overcome challenges. It is about building a community where people know they matter.
Because being chosen is more than a feeling. It is knowing that someone is willing to show up for you.
The ÉLUE Foundation exists to ensure that individuals and families feel seen, valued, and chosen by fostering belonging, advancing wellness, providing compassionate community support, and creating opportunities for growth and empowerment.
A world where everyone feels chosen, no one feels forgotten, and every person has the care, connection, and opportunity to grow beyond simply getting by.
At The ÉLUE Foundation, being chosen means more than receiving assistance. It means being treated with dignity, welcomed with compassion, and supported through meaningful action.
Our values guide how we serve communities, build relationships, steward resources, and create opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.
We lead with empathy, kindness, and genuine care, recognizing that every individual deserves to be treated with humanity and respect.
We create welcoming spaces where individuals and families from all backgrounds feel accepted, connected, and valued.
We honor the inherent worth of every person, providing support without judgment and recognizing each individual's unique experiences and strengths.
We help individuals build confidence, develop skills, access resources, and pursue opportunities that support greater independence and long-term well-being.
We commit to ethical leadership, responsible stewardship of resources, transparency, and measuring the impact of our work.
At ÉLUE, our values are more than words. They are the promises we make to every person who places their trust in us.
